Gabriel Smith

I have engaged in community outreach through volunteer roles and professional placements, supporting individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, behavioural issues, addictions, homelessness, depression, and trauma by providing direct care. Some of support offered included assistance with hygiene care, routines, feeding, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and transfers for participants with mobility challenges. Collectively, these experiences have significantly enhanced my leadership, teamwork, communication, and project management abilities, while simultaneously fostering my empathy, adaptability, patience, interpersonal skills, and ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
