Maria Socorro Cuyos

I’m a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University with crisis-support experience through Kids Help Phone, where I supported individuals experiencing emotional distress through active listening, empathetic communication, and suicide risk assessment and intervention. Transitioning from data analytics to counselling, I bring analytical thinking alongside a genuine curiosity about people and their experiences. My own journey through therapy, cultural transitions, and personal growth has strengthened my desire to help others feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. I’m committed to compassionate, culturally responsive, and client-centred care, and I look forward to continuing to develop my clinical skills through supervised practice.
