During my clinical internship, I gained hands-on experience in a professional mental health setting, where I assisted with client-related tasks and observed the importance of effective communication, active listening, confidentiality, and professionalism. I learned how to interact respectfully with individuals from different backgrounds while remaining patient, empathetic, and attentive to their concerns. The experience also strengthened my ability to handle sensitive information, follow professional protocols, and communicate information clearly and accurately. Overall, my clinical internship helped me develop stronger interpersonal and communication skills that I can apply in a professional interpreting role.
