Gabriela Maytorena

I am a bilingual English- and Spanish-speaking Master of Arts in Counseling student at National University and a California Army National Guard Soldier pursuing supervised training as a Therapist Intern. My background in health sciences, military service, and graduate counseling education has strengthened my interest in behavioral health and helping individuals navigate emotional and interpersonal challenges. My developing clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, relationship and family concerns, and military and veteran mental health. I value active listening, empathy, cultural awareness, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and a client-centered approach. Through supervised clinical training, I am interested in developing my skills in eviden
