About

I am writing to express my strong interest in joining your organisation as a Clinical Psychologist or Psychology Professional. I have recently completed my MSc in Clinical Psychology from Kristu Jayanti University, Bangalore, graduating with an overall CGPA of 8.33 across all four semesters. I also hold a BA (Honours) in Psychology with a CGPA of 8.02 from St. Bede’s College, Shimla. With comprehensive hands-on training across hospital, rehabilitation, child development, and community settings, I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to your team from day one. Clinical Experience & Competencies Over the course of my academic journey, I have completed substantive clinical placements, each building on the last. My training spans neurorehabilitation at HCAH Suvitas (Bangalore), child and adolescent therapy at Sunshine by Lissun (Gurgaon), in-patient psychiatry at Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital (Dehradun), and multiple phases at Nidaan Psychological Services, where I was promoted to Senior Intern in recognition of my growing competence. Across these placements, I have gained proficiency in a wide range of psychological assessments including the BDI, HARS, MMSE, MoCA, MISIC, Raven's Progressive Matrices, 16PF, MCMI, VSMS, CIWA, COWS, and various ASD and ADHD tools. Therapeutically, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic counselling, humanistic approaches, family intervention, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychoeducation. Research & Academic Contribution My MSc dissertation, "Adaptation and Resilience Among College Students from Other States in Bangalore," employed a qualitative thematic analysis approach and has been accepted for ISBN publication by Kristu Jayanti University. At the undergraduate level, I conducted a pre-post study on the benefits of yoga on anxiety using the GAD Scale. These experiences have equipped me with a strong grounding in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including SPSS. Community Initiative Beyond clinical training, I am the co-founder of Manovaran and honestly, this is the initiative closest to my heart. The name comes from two words: Mano (mind) and Avaran (shelter) together meaning “a shelter for the mind.” I started this platform because I kept seeing people around me struggling with their mental health in silence, not because they did not want help, but because psychology still felt distant, clinical, or inaccessible to them. I wanted to change that. Through Manovaran, I have gone into government schools and sat with pre-teen girls to talk honestly about examination anxiety, menstrual mood changes, and what it means to feel overwhelmed, conversations that many of them told us they had never had before. I have facilitated workshops on problem-solving, stress management, and art therapy, and created content on burnout and grounding techniques in language that anyone can understand and actually use. What Manovaran has taught me, more than anything, is that connection is medicine. When someone feels truly heard and understood, something shifts and that is precisely why I chose clinical psychology, and why I will always bring that same human warmth into every professional setting I am part of. What I Bring to Your Organisation I bring to this role a rare combination of clinical depth, research aptitude, and a genuine passion for people-centred care. Having worked with diverse populations, including children with developmental disorders, adults with psychiatric conditions, neurorehabilitation patients, and community outreach participants, I am adaptable, empathetic, and equipped with evidence-based tools to support clients across the lifespan. I am fluent in both English (IELTS: 7.5) and Hindi, which enables me to build rapport effectively across a broad range of clients in India. I am also a motivated self-starter with leadership experience, having served as Secretary of the Disaster Management Cell and as a Student Council Member during my undergraduate years. I am deeply enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to your team and grow as a clinician within your esteemed organisation. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further at your convenience. Please find my CV attached for your reference. Thank you sincerely for your time and consideration.
