Jaelon Leid-Bailey

Psychology has been a huge part of my life. My mother pursued psychology in her undergraduate studies and continued on to become a counsellor and mental health specialist. I have followed her footsteps, studying psychology from the undergraduate to the graduate level of education. While a majority of my education lies in the experimental practice of psychology, I have built a foundation of expertise in cognition and behaviour that is extensive. I have conducted and advised multiple experiments specifically examining empathy and race; More specifically, how we attempt to understand one another and if our ability to do so changes when we are interacting with a different race. I believe I can apply this foundation into a psychology intern practice, offering not only my expertise, but my experience with clinical psychology that I have gained by living in a household with a licensed counsellor.
