I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Polytechnic University of the Philippines, where my training focuses on psychological assessment, case conceptualization, and the application of evidence-based interventions. This academic foundation has equipped me with a deeper understanding of mental health conditions, as well as the ethical and professional standards required in clinical practice. In parallel, I volunteer as a crisis hotline responder at In Touch Community Services, where I provide immediate psychological support to individuals experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, and crisis situations. This role has strengthened my competencies in active listening, risk assessment, and crisis de-escalation while maintaining empathy and professionalism in high-pressure interactions. Through this experience, I have been able to learn and apply Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, a structured, goal-oriented approach that emphasizes clients’ strengths, resilience, and capacity for change. I utilize this framework to help individuals identify practical coping strategies, set achievable goals, and work toward short-term, solution-focused outcomes.
