Nhyira Addo

I am a dedicated and detail-oriented Psychologist Assistant registered with the Ghana Psychology Council, with hands-on experience supporting mental health service delivery under the Mental Health Authority of Ghana. My role has provided me with the opportunity to work closely within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive and client-centered care. I have developed strong competencies in client support, psychosocial assessment, documentation, and report writing, while maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards. My experience includes providing psychological first aid, being a suicide prevention/management responder, assisting individuals distress & psychoeducation and awareness creation. I am skilled in communicating with individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating empathy, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism in all interactions. Through my work, I have strengthened my ability to manage administrative responsibilities alongside clinical support duties, including record-keeping, coordinating appointments, and supporting program implementation. I am passionate about promoting mental health awareness and improving access to quality psychological services, and I continuously seek opportunities to grow professionally within the field.
