About

I have developed foundational experience in applied psychology through leadership, mental health support, and multidisciplinary healthcare collaboration. As Teddy Bear Hospital Project Lead, I delivered inclusive, trauma-informed health education to over 60 pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), using play-based psychoeducation and adaptive communication to reduce healthcare anxiety. I also mentored volunteers and led health promotion campaigns, strengthening engagement and teamwork. As a Public Relations Volunteer with an NHS charity, I created psychologically-informed outreach materials promoting community wellbeing and end-of-life care, while managing records for over 400 volunteers and facilitating sensitive discussions. As a Listening Volunteer with Nightline, I provided confidential, non-judgemental mental health support, applying active listening, empathy, and risk awareness in emotionally challenging situations. Additionally, as a Young People’s Forum Member, I collaborated with clinical psychologists and multidisciplinary teams to co-produce youth-friendly CAMHS resources and contribute to service improvement initiatives. From October 2026, I will undertake a Psychology Professional Placement Year across CAMHS Learning Disability and Trauma-Informed Care teams, gaining experience in clinical assessments, audits, outcome measures, group facilitation, and trauma-informed training development, further strengthening my interests in clinical psychology and trauma-informed mental health care.
