I completed my Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology at Kaatsu International University, Sri Lanka, where I developed a deep interest in brain–behavior relationships. Following my degree, I embarked on a meaningful professional journey dedicated to child development and cognitive–behavioral support. My career began as a Special Needs Therapist at Chitra Lane Special Needs School, where I worked closely with children with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental challenges. I subsequently served as a Psychologist Assistant at the Ayati Center, Ragama, a renowned multidisciplinary center for pediatric neurodevelopment. I had the opportunity to observe clinical assessments, assist in therapeutic planning, and collaborate with psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists. At present, I am employed as a Special Needs Teacher at IES International College, where I continue to support children with diverse learning and behavioral challenges. My work emphasizes evidence-based intervention, individualized educational plans (IEPs), cognitive–behavioral support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals. These experiences have not only strengthened my clinical skills but also deepened my passion for the field of neuropsychology, particularly in child neurodevelopment and cognitive assessment.
