About

I'm a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Winthrop University (CACREP-accredited), working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, stress, panic, and co-occurring addiction, particularly when substance use develops as a coping mechanism rather than a primary presenting concern. My path to counseling grew from over a decade in hospitality management and recruiting. I led teams, managed multi-property operations, and built a contract recruiting practice where I coached job seekers through career transitions, workplace stress, and professional development. What I kept being drawn to was the human side of work: the burnout, the quiet struggles, and the conversations people needed to have but rarely got the chance to. Those experiences shaped my clinical direction. I gravitate toward integrative, narrative, and person-centered approaches. I value meeting clients where they are, exploring the stories that shape how they see themselves and their options, and supporting growth and resilience rather than focusing solely on pathology. I'm currently studying CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based approaches alongside narrative therapy, positive psychology, and collaborative methods. My long-term goal is private practice working with individuals from college-age through retirement who are navigating anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, and the emotional toll of demanding careers. I'm also passionate about bringing mental health support into communities and workplaces through psychoeducation workshops and organizational wellness programming.
