Dilanka Perera

My passion is to be a psychologist who actively listens, empathize and help them to manage their emotional and mental health challenges. Personally, I have come across many people who are reluctant to go for a counselor or psychologist as they think these professionals can't understand them or due to a bad experience they have faced. I want to be a psychologist who understand them and make them feel secure with what they are sharing and build that trust during the two way communication. Further, let them realize it's a phase which they are going through and would like to offer assistance in managing that phase. This platform provides me the opportunity to train myself as a psychology intern which will contribute to my career goal and develop required skills. Further, I'm planning to do my masters and get trained facing clients face to face in future.
