During my professional training in psychology, I have gained comprehensive academic and practical exposure through multiple internships and competitive qualifications that have strengthened both my clinical competence and theoretical foundation. As a counselling psychology trainee at SafeTherapy, I completed an intensive online psychotherapy training program designed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world clinical practice. The training emphasized essential therapeutic competencies including first-session structuring, trauma-informed interventions, session planning, managing client resistance, ethical handling of therapeutic boundaries, and responsible termination of therapy. The program incorporated live demonstrations, supervised role-plays, case discussions, and guided practice sessions, which significantly enhanced my confidence and skills in conducting counselling sessions independently. In addition, as a psychology intern at EmoAid Wellness Center, I underwent structured clinical training consisting of mentoring sessions, skill-building workshops, observational learning, and reflective well-being sessions. This internship provided exposure to a wide range of adolescent and adult mental health concerns and therapeutic approaches. I developed core clinical skills such as rapport formation, case history taking, behavioral observation, and session structuring through demonstrations and supervised role-plays. I also participated in observations of psychiatric consultations, psychological assessments, play therapy interventions, and social skills training sessions, along with self-reflective well-being practices focusing on emotional awareness and self-care for mental health professionals. Academically, I have demonstrated consistent excellence by qualifying the UGC NET examination for Assistant Professor eligibility three times and clearing the GATE Psychology examination twice. These achievements reflect strong conceptual understanding, research aptitude, and commitment to advancing in the field of psychology through both academic and applied clinical practice.
