I am a final-year B.Sc. Psychology (Honours) student with practical internship experience in rehabilitation, counselling, and clinical settings. My academic training, combined with field exposure, has helped me bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world client interaction in meaningful ways. During my rehabilitation internship, I worked with individuals experiencing developmental, emotional, and psychosocial challenges. I assisted in behaviour modification programs, activity planning, and documentation of client progress. Observing multidisciplinary teamwork helped me understand holistic treatment planning and the importance of consistent follow-up. In clinical and counselling environments, I conducted detailed case history interviews, Mental Status Examinations (MSE), and administered standardized psychological assessments, including personality and intelligence tests, under supervision. I contributed to report writing, case conceptualization, and participated in supervision meetings to strengthen my diagnostic and analytical skills. I have received training in therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), person-centred therapy, and supportive counselling techniques. Under supervision, I practiced building rapport, maintaining empathy, ensuring confidentiality, and applying structured interventions to help clients identify maladaptive thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. These experiences have enhanced my communication skills, emotional sensitivity, ethical awareness, and professional responsibility. I am deeply committed to promoting mental well-being and aspire to grow as a compassionate, evidence-based mental health professional who creates a safe and supportive space for every individual I work with.
