As a psychologist-in-training and a licensed psychometrician for over half a decade, I offer evidence-based, context-based counseling and mental health care management to clients experiencing mood concerns like depression, anxiety problems, trauma, stress, and adjustment issues. Currently, as a counseling associate, I work with young people to regulate their emotions and improve their mental well-being through techniques such as motivational interviewing, supportive psychotherapy, solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. Moreover, I am adept at conducting intake interviews, initial mental health screening, and providing case management. Ultimately, as a counseling intern and volunteer at one of the leading mental health service providers in the Philippines, I work collaboratively to build an authentic therapeutic relationship with emerging and young adults, using an empathetic, nonjudgmental, and empowering approach, emphasizing self-awareness and self-management through mindful self-care practices.
