I am motivated to volunteer because I am passionate about supporting individuals facing life difficulties. I believe in the importance of empathy, understanding, and providing a safe space for those in need. By volunteering, I aim to contribute positively and learn more about the intricacies of support services. I bring a strong background in psychology and extensive experience working with vulnerable populations. My educational qualifications, including an MPhil/PhD in Psychology and training in Counselling and Psychotherapy, equip me with the knowledge necessary to understand and address complex emotional and behavioural issues. Moreover, my commitment to continuous learning and professional development makes me adaptable and open-minded in various situations. Also, I have previous experience working as a support worker at MENCAP, where I supported individuals with learning disabilities. My role involved promoting independence and helping clients make informed decisions. In my spare time, I enjoy engaging in activities that promote mental well-being, such as mindfulness practices and nature walks. I also love reading psychological literature and staying updated on current trends in mental health and addiction support. Additionally, I volunteer in community outreach programs, further fulfilling my desire to help others.
